Not much to report on today. I hung out at the beach. I walked around Nha Trang a little and watched the surf roll in on the true Nha Trang Beach, I ate yummy Vietnamese food, and I had a peaceful, relaxing birthday as I had planned.
Then I hopped on an overnight train to Saigon.
End of story! 🙂
Sounds like a lovely, relaxing day! Happy Birthday!
It was! Thank you!
Happy Birthday, Dana! I am getting caught up on your adventures. I am so glad you are having a wonderful time.
Thanks, Jenn! I couldn’t be happier!
Happy (belated) Birthday! Sounds like a very relaxing way to spend the day. Hope the overnight train ride went well, too.
The overnight train was fine. It was an SNT train instead of an SE train, so it sped along way faster than the slow and steady SE train, so I got rolled around a lot and at times felt like it was going to derail itself. The mattress was so thin that it felt like sleeping directly on the wood underneath. We got to Saigon 1 hr 20 mins before I expected so I was completely unprepared and rushed. But I had my own compartment, and it delivered me safely, so
I’m not complaining, even if it sounds like it. 🙂
